Company profile – Neutra Kunststoffbau GmbH

Neutra has been a strong partner in plastic plant construction for more than 30 years. We are the world market leader for acid polishing systems in the glass industry.

The beginning

Johannes Eisenbichler, the proprietor of Neutra Kunststoffbau GmbH, set up a small company with a main focus on tank construction in 1987. He was swift to see the entrepreneurial opportunities opened up with the fall of the Berlin Wall and the disappearance of the Iron Curtain, and in 1990 accordingly launched Neutra.

The structure

The early years were determined by establishing a corporate structure and gaining customers, primarily in the former East German states. The new company saw its first milestone in 1991 with production of a complete modern acid polishing unit for Arnstadt Kristall, Germany. This was followed in 1993 by delivery of a unit to Asfour Crystal of Egypt, Neutra’s first export to a destination outside Europe. In the years that followed, the company internationalised its sales activities, leading on to first orders from Asia. In the cyclical highs and lows of the times, Neutra proved to be a steady and reliable partner to its customers.

Our leadership

Thanks to its long experience and continuous development work in glass surface treatment systems, the company went on to become world market leader in the field. All glass manufacturers in Germany now work solely with Neutra systems.

Our expansion

To meet increasing demand, Neutra relocated in 2016 to an industrial estate in Upper Bavaria, in the process doubling its production capacity.

It was also during this time that the company Neutra Eloxal GmbH was founded for operation of an aluminium anodising unit manufactured by Neutra and operated at its site.

The management

In July 2020, NEUTRA Kunststoffbau GmbH gained a new managing director in the person of Roy Nitzsche. Right from his start with the firm as a technical employee, he was involved in various international plant projects and positively promoted the Neutra’s development as a plant manufacturer in the glass industry. He has now been with the company for over ten years and will continue to write its story with his young team.

Chemical Safety System

As Neutra systems generally involve very dangerous media such as hydrofluoric acid, protection of the operating personnel and the environment is our top priority. Our Chemical Safety System document guides us in our work.

This aspect of our philosophy ensures best possible protection for our customers when handling our systems and prevents direct contact with chemicals. Our solutions provide all-round safety for the operating personnel plus we can draw up accompanying documentation, such as a process FMEA safety analysis on request. This guiding principle applies to the entire production chain, from delivery of the chemicals to their storage, metering and use in the respective application, in ensuring maximum possible safety for our customers and their personnel.
